BEWARE. Of 1962
                Dr K Prabhakar Rao

There was once an Ostrich
 it buried its head in a heap of sand
 the foolish bird claimed there was no  enemy
While the enemy butchered it in its own land

India is a foolish state
That neglects it own  armed force
The state would learn in a hard way
While Indians have no remorse

When Nehru was on top of ladder
Menon was the minister of Defence
India slept singing Chini Hindi Bhai Bhai
while the Chinese were preparing to cross the fence

Nehru had his own  unfounded fad
While Menon suffered greatest ego
General Thimmayya  led the India army
Who was sure that India would become a DODO

tensions at borders worsened to the hilt
While Chinese crossed over  on to our land
throw out the Chinese. Nehru blared
while The Chinese marched in playing  their band

 Indian army fought with great valor and grit
while our troops  were ruthlessly mowed down
India lost thousands of square miles of the land
While the Chinese were close to Tezpur  town

India  saved its face at last in the grim state
When The American President warned the yellow men
India was on streets with begging bowls
 with Shame writ large that is difficult to pen

Nehrus morale  shattered like bomb shell
while Menon was axed after a blood bath
The shame India suffered haunts us even today
Hope our leaders  are not treading Nehrus path

Officer... Sir.  the guns of our tanks are stuck in fully upward elevated position. They are very old ones and not fit for war. The guns can not  come down.  we can not repair them as no spare parts are available. How can we face. enemy and fight? They will become sitting ducks

WALRVEN HALL.. DUTCH ANTI NAZI ACTIVIST. WW II

He was a Dutch Banker and prominant Nazi resistance leader. He was  betrayed by  John Von Lom who collaborated with Nazis and this led to his arrest.  he was executed  in 1945 at  Haarlem. After the war he was posthumously honoured by U.S. And Netherlands .

 HENDRIKS NIKOLAUS WERKMAN , DUTCH ACTIVIST, WW II

He was a Dutch  typographer, Printer and artist. he setup a clandestine printing unit during Nazi occupation of his country. And he was shot dead by Gestapo in 1945 during losing days of the war.

AART ALBLAS, DUTCH ACTIVIST,

He was a Dutch Navy officer and was a prominant resistance fighter during WW IIFrom 1940, Alblas collected information, often with John A. Idema. On the night of 18/19 March 1941, Alblas, with A M Westerhout, dressed in stolen German uniforms, travelled by motor boat to England to deliver the collection of information. For this exploit he received the Bronze Cross. ultimately  he was captured. And interned at Mauthusen concentration camp where he was executed on 7 sept 1944

GARRIT VANDERVEEN . DUTCH NAZI RESISTANCE

he was a Dutch sculptor  and  nazi resistance activist. In 1940, after the German occupation, van der Veen was one of the few who re-fused to sign the so-called “Arierverklaring,” the Declaration of Aryan Ancestry. In the years that followed, he tried to help Jews both in practical and symbolic ways. Together with the musician Jan van Gilse and the (openly homosexual) artist, art historian, and critic Willem Arondeus, van der Veen established the underground organization De Vrije Kunstenaar (The Free Artist). Van der Veen and the other artists published a newsletter calling for resistance against the occupation. When the Germans introduced identity documents (Persoonsbewijzen) that distinguished between Jews and non-Jews, van der Veen, Arondeus and the printer Frans Duwaer (nl) produced some 80,000 false identity papers. he was captured  may 12 , 1944. And peas executed near  overseen on  10 June 1944.

TITUS BRANDSMA. DUTCH CATHOLIC ANTI NAZI PRIEST... WW II

Titus Brandsma, O.Carm. (23 February 1881 - 26 July 1942), was a Dutch Carmelite friar, Catholic priest and professor of philosophy. Brandsma was vehemently opposed to Nazi ideology and spoke out against it many times before the Second World War. He was imprisoned in the infamous Dachau concentration camp, where he died. He has been beatified by the Roman Catholic Church as a martyr of the faith.
