Cartoon by Dr K Prabhakar Rao

MERA BHARAT. MAHAAAAAAAAAN....( My Bharat is very great)
Modiji...Your clamour will come out of my mouth
and it will flow like rain

Professor.. He says this is man ki baat ( My thoughts ) given by him periodically over TV
..

Yashwant sinha explodes bomb

YASWANT SINHA FORMER FINANCE MIISTER EXPLODES BOMB... IS THE GOVT ASTRAY?

                                                       DR K PRABHKAR RAO

When higher note currency was demonetized.in India by Govt of Modiji many finance experts including Dr Man Mohan Singh the Ex PM and former RBI governor, Mr Reddy and other  former RBI governors and   Amartya Sen the Nobel laureate condemned the action as hasty and weird and sinful. Forbes  the famous US magazine  in  a strong article called the actions as a mere sinful  loot of own citizens.. However Modiji and his finance minister  Arun Jetley looked other way. Now their own very senior member Yashwant Sinha former FM in Bajpaijis govt fired the gun boldly and condemned the action of demonetization and GST  and targeted Jetley and Modiji. This is a grave development indeed for the over confident  ruling  Party. At present , opposition has no leader of eminence and Rahul  of Congress is clueless and is considered as man of no consequence and instable disposition..
When death fast approaches,it is said  in India  that  the jackal i.e  ' Geedad ' runs towards the town' . It is an apt saying as PM Modi will never think of replacing Jaitly. Instead he gives additional portfolio like defense that is also screwed up well.. The time has come for public to react to show their anger in the ensuing  elections. If Modi doesn't replace by a a new FM, the party will evaporate in thin air. People are quite aware of Modi's failures like Demonetization, introduction of GST, OROP for Armed Forces, Orders issuing for engaging Indian Army to clean up the garbage from all hills and forward areas, shortage of arms and ammunition and other war like equipment etc, etc.Former army chief Gen VK Singh clearly warned govt while in service that Army was not well equipped and does not have stock of ammunition even for a week's war. The same was also pointed out by the CAG report. In all probabilities these warnings were  ignored. Now the former General  a member of BJP is a state minister for external affairs and has no voice.  Earlier he was a minister of satte with independent charge for development of eastern states. However the portfolio was later handed over to another politician and VK singh was cut to size.He has nothing to do with Defense portfolio although he deserved it.. He accepted an inferior post unworthy of a  former General . Modi should wake up at the earliest rather than to keep increasing his swelling chest and keep giving sermons over MUNKI BAAT ( My thoughts). Ms Seetharaman  the new MOD needs to realize that Armed Forces have a definite role to play the vital role of defending the country and not repeat not area cleaning short of scavenger duties to be a bit respectful to our forces,.. They should take a leaf out of 1962 war with China and reasons for losing the war and learn lessons from history. China has greatly improved although we boasted that India  was no 1962 type. The recent border showdown for few months is a warning. China is not going to give up its claim over disputed areas and occupied territories. It will wait for an opportunity to strike. It is Ok that  most of the world nations backed India and china  assessed the situation and backed out. India is also a nuclear state although no match to china..
Present day Generals and other Chiefs of Air Force and Navy must speak out courageously and demand the rulers what they want for keeping themselves fit for fighting wars with enemy countries.Navy is suffering from accidents.  We need  persons like General Hanut Singh a rare breed of Generals who was  a GOC and   was courageous to give orders to CGDA not to ask unit Commanders for reasons for audit objections as they themselves were responsible and accountable and his unit commanders are meant for their primary role of maintaining fitness to fight all the time. We need such generals and not sycophants. trying to grab carrots suspended in front of their mouths.

The recent reports have clearly stated that the national growth has come down and is attributed to the Modi reforms. Now the leaders are defensive and state that any bold reforms face problems and people have to bear it. On the whole, situation is not good and encouraging where Defense forces appear to have low morale due to   controversial decisions  such as with drawl of free rations at selected places, OROP problems, Status problems of defense  officers etc and insufficient  military equipment, ammunition  etc. God bless us from  another calamity of 1962 war with chinese along with Pakistan onslaught from west and north.

ERHARD HEIDEN. NAZI
Erhard Heiden (23 February 1901 – c. 1933) was an early member of the Nazi Party and the third commander of the paramilitary wing of Schutzstaffel (SS), the Sturmabteilung ("Storm Detachment; SA"). He was appointed head of the SS, an elite subsection of the SA in 1927. At that time the SS numbered less than a thousand men and Heiden found it difficult to cope under the much larger SA. Heiden was not a success in the post, and SS membership dropped significantly under his leadership. He was dismissed from his post in 1929, officially for "family reasons". He was arrested after the Nazis came to power in 1933 and executed that same year.

ERNST LURCH.
Ernst Lerch (19 November 1914 – 1997) was one of the most important men of Operation Reinhard (German: Aktion Reinhard), responsible for "Jewish affairs" and the mass murder of the Jews in the General Government .
In December 1938, Lerch joined the Ger
man Army. According to his testimony, he was involved in the 1939 Polish Campaign as a signals corporal. From February 1940 until September 1941, Lerch was employed at the "Reich Security Main Office" (Reichssicherheitshauptamt, RSHA) in Berlin. Then he was appointed as Rasse-und Siedlungsführer in Cracow.
From 1941-43, Lerch served in Lublin as chief of Globocnik's personal office and Stabsführer der Allgemeine SS, responsible for the radio link between the Aktion Reinhard headquarters and Berlin. On 21 July 1942, he was promoted to SS-Sturmbannführer. At the trial of Hermann Worthoff (former Gestapo chief in Lublin) after the war, it was mentioned that Lerch had overseen the murder of thousands of Jews from the Majdan Tatarski ghetto in Lublin at the nearby Krepiec Forest. When Operation Reinhard (Aktion Reinhard) was finished, Lerch was ordered to Italy in September 1943. He went with most of the SS-men of Globocnik's staff. In Trieste, Lerch continued to serve as chief of Globocnik's personal staff in the OZAK (Operationszone Adriatisches Küstenland). He was still Globocnik’s right hand but had also military-related tasks. Lerch was very much involved in anti-partisan operations. For a few weeks, Lerch was provisional police commander in Fiume. After the German surrender in Italy (1 May 1945), Lerch fled to Carinthia (Southern Austria), a region he knew very well. There, at an alpine pasture (Möslacher Alm) near the Weissensee Lake, he was captured by a British commando on 31 May 1945. Lerch was captured with his comrades Globocnik, Hermann Höfle and Georg Michalsen.Being imprisoned in Wolfsberg detention centre, Lerch was interrogated by the British. He insisted on having spent just a short time in Lublin, and had nothing to do either with Globocnik or the mass killings of Jews in Poland. Lerch escaped from prison and lived in hiding from 1947 to 1950. He was captured again in 1950.In 1960, Lerch was sentenced to two years of imprisonment by a de-Nazification court in Wiesbaden (8JS 1145/60 StA Wiesbaden). In 1971, he was accused again of being involved in the Holocaust. The trial was held in Klagenfurt. His case was finally dropped on 11 May 1976 because Lerch denied having done anything in Poland and for a lack of witnesses (LG Klagenfurt: 25VR 3123/71).

LUDWIG HERMANN KARL HAHN

Ludwig Hermann Karl Hahn (23 January 1908 – 10 November 1986) was a Germany SS functionary during the Nazi era and a convicted criminal. A Nazi political official, Hahn was trained as a lawyer and held multiple government and security positions during his career with the SS. Hahn directly participated in the Einsatzgruppen killings in German-occupied Poland and was chief of the Nazi-security services in Kraków. Hahn was later appointed chief of the Sicherheitsdienst (SD) and the Sicherheitspolizei (SiPo) for Warsaw. He was involved in the destruction and liquidation of the Warsaw Ghetto (1942) and the brutal suppression of both the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising (1943) and the Warsaw Uprising (1944).Hahn remained in Germany after 1945 and went into hiding in Bad Eilsen in the British occupation zone, working for several years as a laborer and farmhand. He later moved to Wuppertal where took a job as a salesman working in the textile industry. He resumed using his real name in 1949. At a hearing in 1950, Hahn's wife Charlotte falsely claimed to British authorities that her husband had been taken prisoner by the Russians and deported, prompting the British Army to end their war crimes investigation of him.Afterward, Hahn went on to pursue a successful career as an insurance broker in West Germany for many years. In 1951 Hahn's father-in-law arranged for him to take a position as Deputy Director for Organizational Matters with the Hanover branch of Karlsruher Lebensversicherung A.G. Hahn later rose to the office of branch manager in 1955.
In 1958 Hahn and his family relocated to Hamburg where he had been hired as head of the insurance department for Schmidt Assekuranz K.G. Following an investigation by the West German federal police, Hahn was arrested by the government of West Germany in July, 1960 on suspicion of his alleged involvement in the destruction of the Warsaw Ghetto. He was held by West German investigators for a full year, however charges against him failed to materialize and he was released from prison in 1961. Following his release Hahn took a position with the Hamburg branch of Investors Overseas Service. He retired in 1967.He was again arrested by West German police in 1965 and again in 1966 but was only briefly held each time and never charged with any crime. It was not until May, 1972 that Hahn was successfully charged with war crimes by the Higher Regional Court of Hamburg. The now 65-year-old Hahn was found guilty in connection with wartime atrocities committed at the Pawiak prison in Warsaw. Hahn was sentenced to 12 years in prison in June, 1973 but petitioned the court for an appeal of the verdict. After a two year review of the trial and the evidence, Hahn's appeal was rejected by the West German judiciary and he entered prison in March, 1975.

During the appeals process, Hahn was also on trial in a different West German court; this case surrounded his alleged role in the deportation of an estimated 230,000 Jews from the Warsaw Ghetto to Treblinka. The proceedings opened in October, 1974 and Hahn was again found guilty at trial. On July 4, 1975 Hahn was given a further sentence of life imprisonment. Suffering from cancer, Hahn was granted early release from prison in September, 1983. He died in Hamburg on November 10, 1986.

Dr K Prabhakar Rao
Gandhi, Nehru and Patel are seen at Hyderabad and are now at LB nagar junction trying to cross the road. Every time they try to cross over ,they see speeding vehicles and step back.
Gandhi. What is this? We are unable to cross the road for the last 20 minutes
Patel. Bapu, This is traffic time
Nehru. There is no traffic control .
Gandhi. I do not see any zebra crossings and signals for permitting crossing of the road
Patel.. Bapu This is Hyderabad ( sings )
Look bapu you gave freedom
And guys made it their fiefdom
All and sundry are in power
Sure to fall from the tower
Gandhi. Well said Patel
Patel. Look Bapu there is a police guy there. He is busy taking photos of vehicles for sending challans ( fine notices)
Gandhi So they are busy in filling govt coffers.
Patel. It is their number one job to day.Traffic control is the last priority
Nehru.. Bapu, look at that car without number plate. The car has a name Goud written on the dicky with Red paint..
Gandhi. Oh I see another car with name Reddy on the dicky. There is no number plate
Patel. But the constables are not taking the photos of the car or holding them up
Nehru. That means they are VIP
Patel. Look Bapu there is a new Innova van with red sticker Corporator
Gandhi. This is too much. A corpotator is a small fly in GHMC. How can he afford a Innova car? I also see some ruffian looking guys in the car
Patel. They are the chamchas ( sychophants) of the coporator who travel with him.
Gandhi. Are they body guards?
Patel. They are the muscle men of him. Whenever he goes to some house building sites, they go with him. It is a show of force. The guys threaten and try to fleece the builder . Recently there were many news paper reports about the corporators and their activities in the city.
Gandhi, what actions were taken by govt? Any idea?
Nehru. No news. They are back at the game
Gandhi. It is almost an hour and we have not crossed the road
Patel. True. Bapu there is a gap now. Some scooterist has fallen down and traffic has halted. Let us run across
(The trio dashes across the road and the vehicle of the corporator dashes against them. The bumper hits Bapu . He falls down yeling)
Bapu. Ho.. I am dead. I am hit. I am wounded. I am killed
(Patel and Nehru fall by Bapus side. They suffer bruises.)
(The Innova car tries to escape from the site by backing away and hits a huge buffalo standing behind his vehcle. The buffalo gets annoyed and drives its huge horns into the rear of the car. The rear windshield is shattered. Bumper is broken . Boot door is badly twisted . The driver gets down from the car)
Driver. Whose buffalo it is? I shall kill it.
( Buffalo gives a dirty look at the driver and shows its big horns. Driver backs out)
( A crowd collects there and traffic jam is created. Some Police men also arrive. They lift Bapu and take him to side. Patel and Nehru get up and follow Bapu. The constable takes the photo of Innova)
Driver. Hey Why are you taking the photo?
Constable. Why I should not?
Driver The vehicle belongs to the corporator
Constable. So what? It is involved in accident. It has knocked down three people and also a good buffalo. He pats the buffalo.
( The buffalo is happy with constable and licks him )
Constable. Relax buffalo amma. Nothing has happened to you.You are very strong and vehicle has been well damaged. They deserved it.
Buffalo..aangra....baaa
Gandi. Eee... aaa... eeee. I am dead. The innova has killed me eee..eee
Constable. Sir Please relax. We shall take you to hospital
Bapu. No requirement.
Constable. Why sir?’
Patel. There is no guarantee that proper doctors will be there at hospitals. We do not have money. They will fleece us. More over there are many reservation type doctors and management quota seat doctors. We are scared to get treated by them. They know nil.
Constable. No sir. Everything will be free at hospital.
Patel. Sir, You appear to be a good police man. But at hospitals things are very bad. Fleecing starts at the gate. First to admit we have to pay, Then to get a bed, to call a doctor, to get free medicines, to call a nurse, to call an attender.. for everything they will fleece us.
Constable. Do you have any health card?
Gandhi. How can we have? We died long ago.
Constable. Eeee... please no jokes, I see you are alive and talking.
Patel. That is the soul. We three died long ago.
Constable. I can not believe
(Corporator arrives in the mean time )
Corporator. What is the problem? Why my car is stopped? Dont you know this is my car. See the red sticker.
Constable. Look sir . All are same before law. You are no VVIP. Your car has no number plate. Are you so great that you put a red sticker?
Corporator. So what, I am the corporator of this area. How dare you speak to me like this?
Constable. Sir, If you have any problem wait for the SI and speak to him.
Corporator. How dare you guy? I shall see you. I shall get you posted to some naxal area.
Constable. You can not do anything. Are you joking. I am seizing your car immediately.
( In the meantime the SI arrives )
SI. Whats happening here?
Corporator. Look SI, My vehicle met a minor accident and I am being troubled.
SI. Law will take its own course
Corporator. I think you recognise me. If you don’t behave I shall see you
SI. Please see me now
Corporator. I shall talk to Home minister and DGP
SI, Do whatever you want to do. Do you think DGP has no other work. Dont act funny. Constables take this innova car to station.
Corporator. I shall see you... I shall see you.... aaa... aa How dare!
( He goes away from the spot fuming and fretting )
Gandhi. Oh Police brother I am ok, feeling better. We shall leave. Buffalo is also fine. We are going away. We can not run around police stations.
Driver. Now can I go?
Constable. No . A case has been booked against the car and you and corporator too.
Driver.. eee..eee kindly pardon us.
Constable. No nothing doing. You guys are required to be taught a lesson.
Patel. If you want I shall come to PS and be a witness
Constable. Thats good. Now you can go. Please come to LB nagar PS tmorrow at 1000 hrs
( In the mean time a recovery vehicle arrives and tows away the Innova.
