HERMANN DOLP

 He was a street fighter in 1924 and spent some time in jail. later he joined NSDAP in 1928 and SS in 1929. He was a untersturmfuhrer un paid. However by 1930 he was promoted to Sturmbannfuhrer although of low intellect after Hitler watched him as in charge of his body guard in Munich. His abilities to get things done were appreciated by the top brass. He was promoted to standard ten fuehrer in 1932. He was an alcoholic and tried at sachsenhausen camp by commandant SS and demoted. He was banned from taking alcohol for two years. He oversaw construction of Dachau camp. In his chequered career he saw ups and downs and later was promoted as oberstadartenfuhrer and posted to an infantry regiment to take part in action.. He died of wounds in a battle in Romania in 1944
