Kurt Gildisch was a SS official in 1933 and during the night of long knives he was ordered by Reinhard Heydrich to assassinate ERICH KLAUSENER in his office and the job was done. Subsequently he was promoted to Sturmbann fuhrer. He took over as the leader of Hilers body guard. However Heinrich Himmler who was the chief of Gestapo and SS was uncomfortable with him as he took direct orders from Hitler. secondly Gildisch was a great boozer. Finally Himmler replaced him in the body guard . As there was no improvement in his conduct he was later demoted and sent to Waffen. He fought well in combat on eastern front. He was posted to 11 SS voluntary panzer grenadier division Nordland. He was wounded in the battle of Berlin. And was taken captive by soviet army. He was however released in 1946. his leg was amputated and he became disabled.In Post war period he found a job as book binder. In 1949 a friend recognised him at a railway station and betrayed him to Police. He was arrested and tried and sentenced to 15 years for the murder of ERICH KLAUSENER . He died at a Private hospital in 1956 due to ailment of liver that was not curable.
