BIRDIE IN A CAGE

Birdie Oh Birdie in the cage
seeing you I get into a rage
None knows your inner pain
all attempts to flee have gone in vain

You look calm from outside
Although inside you always cry
none knows your pain
Through the summers and flooding rains

Unable to say about your feelings
What life you are leading O birdie
this world is full of beings with stone heart
And none cares for what you feel

you cried in silence for years
And your tears have dried up
birdie Oh Birdie in the cage
Seeing you I get into a rage
