MORRIS MINOR 1950. This was a major deviation in the design of shape from the conventional style that mostly dominated car designs till 1949. The earlier model of Morris 8 1948 was changed into more modern looking egg shaped body with. Two door model. The engine of earlier Morris 8 model was retained it was a side valve flat head water cooled engine with water pump added. The wheel size was reduced to 14 inch rim with semi floating rear axle supported by semi elliptic leaf spring. Front suspension was independent type with torsion bars. It had four fwd and rev gear. The veh became popular. Convertible models also were made along with two door sedans. The veh head lights were placed at low level that were later changed to the wings at increased height. The model looked like morrisoxford.
