He was a SS
functionary at Sachsenhausen camp and was arrested by Soviets after liberation
of the camp. he was tried at Berlin by a soviet military court and he was
sentenced to life term With forced labour.he was sent to work in S ovie coal
fields At a camp on polar sea to serve the term. In 1956 the surviving
defendants were released to be repatriated to west Germany.He was again arrested in West Germany and before his trial for war crimes against German nationals and Soviet prisoners commenced he committed suicide in a prison
