FORD 1931 convertible
FORD CONVERTIBLE 1931.this was a very popular car worldwide and known as work horse. it was a four door convertible.two door models were also made apart from Sedans . The spare wheel is bolted at rear along with a luggage frame. It had floor gear shift with full wide couches.the front grill is uprights and had foot boards.Rh and LH versions were made.It had three fwd speeds and one reverse gear with sliding mesh design with floor shift lever. There were long seats for front and rear passengers. The gearbox being a slide mesh required double Declutching .All wheels had drum brakes. the engine was four cylinder water cooled side valve design flat head. L Type. That developed 40 BHP at 2200 rpm. The engine had 200.5 cubic inches displacement. the radiator had stainless steel front decorative frame giving imposing look. the head lamps are mounted on a cross bar bolted to fenders over front tyres.
