KASIM RAZVI GLORIFIED... SHAME

GLORIFICATION OF FUNDAMENTALIST…..SHAME

Dr K Prabhakar Rao

Kasim Razvi the fundamentalist commander of Razkar rapist militia in Hyderabad state in 1948 is dead long ago. But he appears to be an inspiration to some not only in India but also to some guys across the western borders. An article was posted on this blog by me on this rascal titled (Kasim Razvi deserved capital punishment). It was also posted on my personal blog, kuntamukkalprabhakar.blogspot.com, a month a go. Surprisingly there was a comment apparently from a Pak lady Syeda Farah Ataullah glorifying him as the most Allah fearing man and rated him as the finest man she ever met. She also quoted that her father was the ardent fan of Razvi on whom he wrote a book. It is worthwhile to call the views of late Jawaharlal Nehru on Mohammed Ghaznavi who invaded India and destroyed Somanth temple several times. Nehru in his book discovery of India wrote that Ghaznavi was not a Hindu hater and fundamentalist but he only invaded India for its wealth. He gave a clean chit to him. The fact is that Ghaznavi broke the Shiva lingam at Somanth and took away the broken stones and they were spread as steps at a Kabul mosque. This confirms that he was a pure fundamentalist and was also a looter and killer of Hindus. Kasim Razvi is akin to him. When an Indian like Nehru could glorify Ghaznavi there is no surprise that a Pak national glorifies Kasim Razvi of Razakars of Hyderabad. What an illusion indeed! I am posting the comments given by her and my reply on my blog

pNow I can see how history can be twisted to give a virtual view of what one thinks is right or wrong.
Syed Kasim Razvi as I knew him was among the finest and most Allah fearing man I have ever known in my life. For me he was our Baray Baba though we were not related to him. I am a child of a Muhajir and all the Mahajir's called him by that name as "Baba" is used for father or a fatherly figure in Deccan. My father wrote a book about him as he knew very well. My father is deceased now but of course he was aperson who would never lie. In his book he has written about all the atrocities you have mentioned commited on hindus as been committed on Muslims.
Of course I will believe my father as I know for sure who is right.
I beleive when we write about something its our obligation to do the fact finding first, as morally we are obligated to write the truth.
Syeda Farah Attaullah

Madam Farah,
You are at liberty to have your own view on Kasim Razvi of Razkar bands. You are surely a Pakistani National. There is no surprise in your views. He settled in Pakistan among Muhajirs ( these are Indian Mulsims who left to Pakistan after partition of Indian subcontinent in 1947 and in fact are treated as second class citizens) and practiced law and Pakistan did not care for him. Your esteemed father could have written his book in which he might have glorified the Razvi. He might be his ardent fan. Fact is that he could be an Allah fearing Muslim no doubt and he did what a Jihadi had to do. In the view of Muslims, naturally he was glorified who fought for Islam. The way he inspired Razakars needs condemnation and not glorification. These Razakars committed grave crimes and it is a recorded history. He was tried by court and punished too. The trial court consisted of a Muslim judge too and one can not find fault with the trial. Kindly note one thing. There are scores of Muslims who glorify Bin laden and worship him. They are narrow religious fundamentalist people who can not see any thing other than Islam. Fact is that Bin laden is a grave criminal who is most unislamic in thoughts and it is world’s view. Kasim Razvi too belongs to the same category and deserved ultimate punishment. You might claim as per book of your dear father that on Muslims too crimes were committed after police action. If it took place they were out of spontaneous reaction who suffered earlier. But Kasim Razvi deliberately planned Hindu hatred, Jihadi inspiration, spread of fundamentalism, atrocities and got these executed with connivance of Police chief and Nizam 7 with the intention of converting Hyderabad state into an Islamic state. This can not be pardoned. He thus deserves condemnation and he was lucky that he was spared by the court. In any country he would have been sent to gallows or faced firing squad. It is disgusting that you chose to glorify him. It is not surprising. May god bless you.
