JOSEF SERCHUK. JEWISH NAZI RESUSTANCE,
Józef Serczuk or Josef Sierczuk (Chełm, 1919 – 6 November 1993, Tel Aviv) was the member and leader of a Jewish partisan unit in the Lublin area of occupied Poland during the Holocaust. He and his brother David were sent to Sobibor camp after their parents and family members were killed in the Ghetto in Poland. They escaped from the camp  and found the core group  partisans along with similar escapees from the camps.  Josef was a leading personality in Tge unit .they fought Germans and survived the war. DOV FREIBERG was part of the unit. after the war  he joined communist soviet forces. And helped  to trace the fleeing nazis so that they could be captured. he testified at Nuremberg trials. In 1950 he got a passport and he moved to Israel where he was drafted into Israeli army. After the service he married and settled in business. He many times travelled to Europe for testifying in the trails of nazis. in 1967 and 1968 he was honoured by the state and received national awards and medals, He passed away on 1993 at the age of 74 years.
