She was born in Germany and during WW II she was a broadcaster of Nazi propaganda and collaborated with Nazis although she was an American citizen. She claimed herself to be from the famous family if Drexels of Philadelphia in USA although she had no connection. She gained much popularity due to the claimed family connection. HEr article were also published in reputed journals. After the war although her role was investigated on the charges of treason nothing could be proved. She was let off.
