HENKE WERNER



 He was a U. Boat captain during WW II and was held in US custody at fort hunt Virginia after his u boat was sunk by American fleet in mid Atlantic in April 1944. The custody was an interrogation centre. Werner was threatened by the investigator that he would be turned over to E nglish authorities for war crimes trials. He. Was falsely implicated that Werner shot and killed many survivors afte r a British vessel was sunk in the ocean. Werner tried to escape by jumping over the fence and was warned to stop, but he did not listen. He was shot and killed when he was trying to escape by climbing fence of the camp of custody. He was a decorated Navy man.
