rainy day . poem by Dr K Prabhakar Rao

RAINY DAY
On slightest rainy day city is engulfed in gloom
HYDERABD streets witness torrents of flood
The streets are flooded and become an English Channel
The citizens cry aloud and can only boil their blood
The government guys look otherway
While people suffer and lament dear
their cars are drowned in parked cellars
While those who matter shed crocodile tear
City streams were encroached long ago
The builders and. Officials are hand in glove
Illegal construction is the order of the day
While citizens suffer like a chicken on stove
