He was civilian supervisorof
the Gusen quarry. He was employed by
German Earth and stone works. He was at Mauthausen camp and was arrested when it
was liberated by US troops in WW II.He was tried for war crimes by US military
tribunal in the case US vs Altfuldisch and was sentenced to death. He was
executed by hanging at Landedberg prison on 28 May 1947. His chest number
during the trial was 55
