Is Hindu a second rate citizen in India and deprived of his rights

Is Hindu a second rate citizen in India and deprived of his

                                                Rights?

                                   Dr K Prabhakar Rao

.                After  gaining independence from the Englishmen,  Hindus in India  are running from pillar to post for identity. It looks as if to be an Hindu is a crime today in India. Systematic  sinister campaign  goes- on at the rulers level against them and  one after the other laws are made to persecute him. Every political party to gain sympathy from minorities have made an agenda to denigrate Hindus. It has been learnt from the news papers that in Mumbai VHP has filed a case against Karunanaidhi the Tamilnadu Chief Minister few years ago for insulting Lord Ram by uttering insulting words that he was a drunkard and did not study engineering. The reaction of VHP was lukewarm on this issue that was most outrageous. In fact, even in case of persecution of Kanchi Pontiff the reaction of Hindu elements was something down played. This was probably because of the court cases. But, can same thing happen to a Mullah in India and the Religious chief of Jama Maszid of Delhi? Any one will say dare not. During destruction of Bamiyan Buddhas by the mad mullahs of Taliban, the respose of religious chief of Jama Maszid in Delhi was seditious when he said,  “the destruction was in order and compared it to as a retalliation to babri maszid devastation” He escaped Scot free and the central govt ignored him and in fact had no courage to put him behind bars. Hindus always swallowed all types of insults when we look into pages of history. It was people like Lok manya Balgangadhar Tilak who atleast stood for Hindu faith openly unlike MKG who played tune for minorities saying that Hindus and Muslims were his both eyes.. With death of Tilak, all types of opposition to MK Gandhi disappeared. All the members of congress party became clapping members.
The Pseudo secular policies have sold away the nation and even today same situation exists. A Hindu feels second rate citizen in India and some times people even hesitate to be identified with the temples and Hindu religion. Somanth temple was renovated after independence and tragedy is that Pandit (  wise ??) Nehru was not happy because Dr Rajendra Prasad the first President of India took part in the inauguration of the most important and revered Somnathji temple of India that was devastated several times by Mohammed Ghaznavi of Kabul and subsequent Muslim rulers. It was not rebuilt after religious bigot Aurangzeb destroyed it during his reign. There are many guys  who glorify Aurangzeb   as a jinda peer( Living saint). They do not see the  mad acts of the  bigoted ruler in which he ordered destruction of Hindu temples. They claim that he ordered demolition of  some mosques too. Does this mean that  he should be condoned as he destroyed temples of both the faiths. Few  guys also claim that if Aurangzeb was after Hindus  why Hindusthan has remained a Hindu dominated country? Truth is that Hindus fought tooth and nail.  Maratha Hindu  king Chatrapathi Shivaji Maharaj and his successors like Chatrapathi Sambhaji Maharaj, Chatrapathi Raja Ram Maharaj, Queen Tarabai   and Guru Gobind singh  opposed him tooth and nail. But for them  the emperor would have achieved his  aim. Any one questioning such bigoted acts is dubbed as an Hindu radical in India. If a Hindu wears religious attire, thousand eyes strangely and queerly  are focused on him at times making mockery of him. But the same is not true for others.

Is it wrong to be identified with one’s religion by Hindus while Muslims and Christians in India can do? Why this discrimination? Karunanidhi being of DMK and being the supporting party to the central govt is being protected even after committing blasphemy. Any other person doing same thing against Islam and Christianity would have been behind bars by this time and facing several cases. Ayotullah Khomeini if alive would have issued a Fatwa    to punish such person committing Blasphemy against Islam. He would have rewarded him too with Crores of Rupees. However, our Hindu seers were  broad minded and looked other way thinking that uttering of the DMK party chief who does not believe in god as were from a mad guy who is off the center needing surgery for mental imbalance. Hinduism is very broad minded and  Hindu scriptures no where state to persecute others. The same is  not the case with others.Muslims  destroyed Hindu temples, edifices, sculptures and idols whenever they were victorious in wars. Entire Indian subcontinent is full of such destructions. A visit to Kakateeya Warangal fort in AP  will open the eyes of pseudo secularists. Europeans were no less. The Dutch armies vandalized Hindu temples in South India. Indian history of Muslim rulers is a testimony. right from the days of Kutubuddin Aibak to  Nizam 7 of Hyderabad the Muslim rulers persecuted Hindus without rest for  eight long centuries. There could be occasional respite for Hindus at some places such as in Vijay nagar empire.

Even after gaining Independence  by India the story has not changed. The corrupt and crooked politicians with short sight are appeasing minorities to gain power at all costs.  Muslims from Bangla desh are being allowed into the country clandestinely and are being settled in Eastern states.  This shows that India is based on pseudo secularism that is dividing the nation further. VHP has obviously failed to protect rights of Hindus for which it stands. The outcome of the court cases against DMK chief is not known till today. Has the VHP lost the case or have withdrawn? Why no verdict has been given in this case? VHP should give a statement on the issue and clarify what actions are being taken further to bring the culprit to the book. Ram in his own land has been abused and the insults have been swallowed. How can this VHP build a Ram temple in India at Ayodhya? What a tragedy indeed?
