SEARCH FOR GOD
Dr K
Prabhakar Rao
India
the great nation in the world
Has fallen from altar into a state of wild
Morals and values area bygone phase
While all are after a wild goose chase
Saints and swamis once lived in wild
Worked for welfare and were always kind
The saints are now seen on the life size portraits
Neatly displayed on roadside drains and gutters
Matinee idols swamis and saints
Laughing at you through posters paint
You and me are in the
state of mental block
Caught in the melee and in mental shock
Saints once lived in
deep forests
Away from humans and dirty rats
they guide the humans
in spiritual pursuits
And always slept on ground and grass mats
The swamis are now busy in political functions
Also dragged into inaugural sessions
Found to travel in super limousines
While common man is caught in a deep spin of recession
Noble names of the great saints
Got commercialized by devilish giants
Innocent guys are cheated by few
Piously waiting for morning dew
God is there everywhere
Always found if one is noble and fair
Explore self with selfless thoughts
Sure to find one who you have sought
Foolish men run after the temples and holy places
Where they are duped by others and loose solace
One has to search for God in heart of his own
Or else they loose
track and become a clown
Some swamis have built empires
And they wield great power and political clout
Innocent Indians are taken for a camel ride
But these swamis appear to hide in their thick hide
