capt MANSUKHLAL of INA, wwii


CAPT MANSUKHLAL OF INDIAN NATIONAL ARMY, WW II,
HE lead the suicidal battle to capture red hill in the battle of Kohima during WW II when Japanese forces and INA invaded Indian eastern regions. The strength of INA soldiers was 660 against the British forces of 3000 , a ratio of 1 against five.he received 13 bullet wounds and yet pushed ahead and captured the hill.For the great valor , he was awarded two gallantry awards Sher e hind and Sardar e Jung by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, the supreme commander of INA.. he was part of guerrilla regiment of Gandhi brigade, Pitted against c Scottish high landers of British Indian army. he survived the war and peacefully passed away in India in early 1990.
