She was a Nazi woman guard and
member of SS . She was first posted to Ravensburk camp and she later reached
Bergen Belsen camp along with prisoners.She was notorious woman and beat
prisoners mercilessly. Some died due to beating. After the war she was arrested
by British army and she was tried in the case of J osef Kramer and others in a
group of 45 members. She was sentenced to 10 years in prison by the British
military court at Lunebrerg. She was however set free in 1951 by British
authorities as. A matter of leniency. She lived long into nineties and also
gave a TV Interview In 2004. She had no remorse for joining the Nazi party. She
was a very tall woman measuring 6 ft 3 inches. She said she joined as camp
guard due to Nazi wave in the country and she had no other choices either. If
she had not joined, she would have been an inmate of the camp meaning a
prisoner.
