KLARA OPTIZ

Klara opitz joined as woman guard in camp service. she reached Belsen camp on 28 feb 1945. She worked as guard, at kitchen , with wood kommando and as head of working parties. She was arrested by British army when camp was liberated. She was tried by British military court at Lune berg in the case Josef Kramer in a group of 45 convicts and was acquitted and released .Her chest number was 35 during the trial.

KAPO VLADISLAV OSTROWSKI

He joined Polish army in 1939 and fought against the Russians. I n April 1940 was arrested by G reman Gestapo at lodz and sent to Radogoszcz  and in 1941 sent to prison at Sierds.In 1942 he escaped but he was caught by Gestapo at Berlin . He was sent to Bergen and Belsen on 10 April 1945, after changing few prisons such as Grab Rosen and Dora in between . He was arrested by British army when the camp was liberated. He was tried at Luneberg by The British military court in the case of Josef Kramer and was sentenced to 15 years prison term. He was released on 24 June 1955. His chest number was 31 during the trial.
