He was a SS. Functionary at sacgsenhausen camp during WW II and was arrested by Soviets when they liberated the camp. he was tried at the trials of SACHSENHAUSEN by S oviet military tribunal at Berlin also called Berlin trials on 23 October 1947. He was convicted for war crimes against soviets and sentenced to life term in jail under forced llabour.He
was sent to work in coal mines at Polar sea camp later.
