He was from hamburg police and was posted to Neuengamme camp in 1940 As guard. He was the executioner too. He alone hanged two children after sedating them for medical experiments and with help of two members from camp hanged other children and elders too. He was arrested and tried by British military court at Neuengamme trial after WW II and was sentenced to death. He was hanged on 8 October 1946 at Hamelin prison.
