He was an officer from SA storm troopers. He
was a pilot physician and directed high altitude aviation research at airforce
research centre,Rechlin under Hermann Goerring the chief of Luftwaffe.He is
noted for research on rapid decompression at high altitudes and oxygen related
equipment. He conducted experiments on himself . After rge world war II, he was
found working with US at US army medical research center at Heidelberg and was
arrested . He was a defendant at doctors trial at Nuremberg. However
mysteriously he was released from custody. He was under paperclip contract to
work for USA.He died as US citizen in 1999 at the age of 94 years
