He oversaw production of v1 and V2 missiles for which he was decorated along with Von Braun and others.He was the General manager of slave labor At V2 rocket program . a after war in 1945 he was taken to USA to work at an airforce base at Ohio Under paperclip program.He appeared as a defendant in 1947 at D Ora trials Subsequently , As reportedly he worked close with Gestapo and SS and witnessed executions. But due to lack of evidence he was acquitted. He returned to USA in 1948 to join his job and became a US citizen
