He was a SS official at Mauthausen
camp and after WWII he was arrested and tried at Dachau by US military tribunal
in the case US vs Martin GottfriedWeiss in which 42 convicts were tried. Becher
was found guilty and sentenced to death. He was hanged on 28 may 1946 at
lanceberg prison.
