Joachim peiper was a Nazi SS
waffen officer. He fought on eastern and western front against Red army of
Soviets and American ,British armies during WW II. For his extreme bravery, he
was awarded knight cross of Iron cross with oak leaves. he was leading tank
assaults during combat. He also was personal adjutant to Heinrich Himmler
during Nov 1940 to Aug 1941. Melmady massacre of Amercian soldiers took place
in Belgium during the war at Bangnez cross roads and at Bullingen during famous Battle of Bulge and it is claimed that the American soldiers
surrendered to Waffen troops on Dec 17, 1944 to
Kampfgruppe Peiper unit part of I st Panzer division commanded by ober gruppen fuhrer, SSGeneral Sepp Dietrich . Hilers orders were to be very offensive and merciless
towards enemy to create fear among them. T here have been conflicting claims on
The incident and had generated great bad blood during the war. Waffen troops were
brutal to Belgian civilians too. General Eisenhower supreme commander of allies
for war in Europe took this very seriously and ensured that this was highly
publicized. This also resulted in rise of hatred towards SS Waffen among allies
while Wehermacht the German army commanded better respect . This also resulted
in issuing of orders during war that SSwaffen troops are not to be taken as
prisoners but shot summarily . Consequently
American troops too gunned down almost equal number of Waffen soldiers when
they surrendered at chenogne on Jan 01, 1945. No American was punished for the
act. Later at the end of war when American troops liberated concentration camps
the SS guards surrendered. They were repotedly gunned down and claimed that
they were killed in battle during liberation. jochen ( jochim) after war was
tried for crimes committed in Belgium
and sentenced to 13 years prison term.. He was released after serving the term.
Allegations of crimes in Italy against
him did not stand and he could not becharged..He went to France and
settled to write and translate books. Before war ended he reached colonels rank .H e
was murdered by unknown assailants in France who shot him to death In 1976.The
assailants could be members of Mossad of Israel.
Georg Otto Herman Fegelin was
the brother in law of Eva Braun. Because he married sister of Eva Braun and
thus was very loosely related to Hitler. He was a SS waffle officer and reached
the rank of Gruppen fuehrer , a General. During WW II he was seriously wounded
and was thus shifted to HITLER'S. Head quarters as a liaison officer for SS. He
was very close to Heinrich Himmler. As the war reached its end with imminent
defeat he deserted his place of work and was summoned by Hitler for
explanation. He refused to see Hitler and argued that he was only responsible
to Himmler. He was under influence of liquor. He was therefore arrested. By
this time Hitler came to know about Himmler's negotiations with western allies
through BBC news for a settlement in which Georg too played his part. Hitler
got wild and stripped down all powers and ranks of Himmler. He also ordered
court martial of Georg Otto. He was summarily shot dead at the lawns of HQ and
name of the person who shot him dead is not revealed.Hitler reportedly never
wanted him to be shot. His collegues described him as the most disgusting
man.He was an habitual drunkard.
