He was a SS brigade fuehrer
and was the head of foreign intelligence during world war. He rose rapidly in
his career and became close aid to Heinrich himmlers after the death of
Reinhard heydrich.He was very influential in the party and played his part in
himmlers negotiations for a peace settlement with allies side lining H itler
Claiming that hitler was unwell. He also arranged transportation of thousands
of Jews from concentration camps to allied centuries without Hitlers knowledge.
Hitler came to know about the likely deportation of 1700 prisoners and he
stopped it. later hitler came to know about negotiations by himmlers and he
dismissed him and also deprived him of his ranks.After the war he was trying to
surender when British troops captured him. He was tried at Nuremberg in trial
of ministeries and was sentenced to 6 years in jail in 1949. However, he was
released soon due to his bad condition of liver. He went to Switzerland and
wrote his memoirs. he died in 1951.
He was a SS staff member at
Mauthausen concentration camp and after WWII he was arrested and tried for war
crimes in the case of US vs Martin Gottfried Weiss in a group of 42 members and sentenced to death. He was hanged on 29
May 1946 at Landesberg prison
