HERMANN KRUNEY Herman krumey was an assistant to notorious
Adolf eichmann in the process of executing the holocaust. He was a member of SS
of rank Sturnbannfuhrer, and was responsible for deporting Jews to the camps.
In 1939 he was posted to Ponzon to remove poles from warthe dist. he served at lodz
office of migration and also in Croatia. He accompanied Eichmann to Budapest in
1944 to oversee deporting of Jews to camp at Auschwitz. He survived the war and
was first arrested in 1945 but was released in 1948. He was rear rested in
1957, 58 and 60 and was in custody till 1965. During the custody he was tried
and sentenced to five year term and as he already served the period in custody
he was immediately released. however prosecution appealed in 1968 ...69 and in
retrial he was awarded life term On 29 Aug 1969 And it was upheld in 1973.
