He was a socio democratic politician during nazi regime and
WW II.He grew up in poverty and took part in trade unions.He joined Nazi party
and turned antI Nazi when Unions were abolished. He was arrested and spent some
time in concentration camps. And was released in 1934. In 1936 he purchased a
small manufacturing unit that was making pub utensils. However this place
became. Very active centre for union activities . He developed contact with
Kriesau circle and Goerdered One of the principal conspirator against Hitler.
LEUSCHNER was to become the vice chancellor if Hitler was eliminated and coup
succeeded.When the plot of 20 July failed he was arrested on16 Aug 1944 and was
tried by people's court. he was sentenced to death and was executed 29 Aug 1944
at Plotzee prison in Berlin.
