She was medical
student at university of Hamburg during WW II. She came in contact with white
rose the anti Nazi organisation Led by sOphie SCHOLL and her brother. TRAUTE
was arrested on 15 March 1943 after the arrest of Scholls. She could
successfully hide her activity in distribution of pamphlets during
interrogation by Gestapo. She was prisoner for one year.. She was released but
was imprisoned again. After the war she emigrated to USA in 1947 and continued
her medical studies in the state of California And practiced. Medicine for long
