PROf KURT HUBER
Prof Kurt Huber was employed at Munich University during
the Nazi regime. He was associated with White Rose an anti Nazi resistance
group. He wrote the sixth pamphlet condemning the Nazi regime, war, mass
murders and persecution of Jews etc. Gestapo was after him and they arrested
him on 19 April 1943 along with Alexander Schmorell and were tried by People's
court. Once he was arrested, he was dismissed from the University and his
Doctorate degree was also withdrawn. He was sentenced to death and guillotined
on 13 July 1943 at Stadelheim prison in Munich.
