He served German army Wehrmacht during WW II, but was
dishonorably discharged from army as he had Jewish ancestors and was not be
kept in army as per Nuremberg laws made by Nazi Germany. He later associated
with White Rose anti- Nazi resistance organisation. He had a pamphlet number 6
of white Rose and wit ha type writer was making copies of the pamphlet to be
distributed in Hamburg. He was arrested by Gestapo. he was tried by the Nazi
court and was sentenced to death.on 13 July 1943 he was executed.
