LISELOTTE HERRMANN
She joined communist party of Germany while at school,,,It
was known as KPD. In 1931. She was expelled from the university on 11 July 1933
when she signed. A petition for restoration and defence of democratic rights,
and freedom. She gave birth to a son on May 15, 1934. She was married to a
KPD official Fritz Rau who was slain by Gestapo while in custody. Yet she
continued her activities. Communist party was banned in Germany once Nazis came
to power. She passed off information about rearmament of Germany , secret
weapons programmes, under ground munition factories, munition manufacture at
Dornier aircraft factory and passed off information to KPD. HQ operating from
Switzerland. She was arrested 7 Dec 1935 and interrogated and she was kept in
confinement for long and executed on 20 Aug 1938 along with her associates,
Steidle, Gonitz, Lovasz in spite of international protests. After war. Many
schools in East Germany were named after her. However once Germany was united,
her memories were erased by removing all. Names of Institutions as she was a
communist and West Germany was anti communist. a very small parking area. Is
named in her memory where no one goes.
