OTTO KIEP
He earned bachelor of laws from UK and also from Leipitz in
Germany . He grew up in Scotland and shifted to Germany when he was 23 years
old. He worked in Washington DC in German Embassy as an advisor from 1927 to 31 and later as Consul
General in New York from 1931 to 33. In Nazi Germany, he was chief of Reich
press Office. He developed contacts with Nazi resistance group. When the plot
failed on 20 July 1944 his name figured in the list of plotters. He was
arrested on and tried at People's court by Friesler and sentenced to death. He
was executed by hanging at Plotzensee prison in Berlin on 23 Aug 1944.
