He was a an estate owner and an officer in German govt. He
was a district administrator till 1922. When his father died. he shifted to his
home town to take care of his estate. He served in military till 1943 as a
battalion commander till 1943. He was associated with the anti Nazi
resistance activities and came in contact with Goerdler . He was to become
political commissioner to the district XX If the plan
of eliminating Hitler succeeded. After failure of 20 July plot , he was
arrested and tried by peoples court. He was later executed.
