MARIA TERWEIL
She was a Nazi resistance fighter and belonged to Red Orchestra
group. She studied law at Munich and she met Helmuth Himpel a dentist who
became her fiancee, She was a half Jew and was not allowed to marry him as per
Nazi govt laws. When Nazis came to power her father lost his job and she
had to take up a job and started living with her fiancee. She actively took
part in anti Nazi activities such as writing and displaying such posters. She was arrested
by Gestapo on 17 sept 1942 and was tried by Reich Military tribunal and
sentenced to death. She was executed at Plotzensee prison at Berlin in Aug
1943.
